This was such an amazing project to work on with the best clients and awesome interior design. We collaborated with Emily Goulet Design on this one. There wasn’t a piece of this home that we didn’t touch – it was a complete home renovation.

There are so many luxurious finishes in this house; penny tile, accent stone walls, shiplap! One of our favourite aspects of this project is the stone feature wall with blue cabinetry in the kitchen. We also can’t forget the gorgeous patterned tile in the front entry. All the finishes Emily selected are incredible.

The scope of the project included:

1. New kitchen cabinets with tons of drawers, the entire kitchen layout was revamped
2. Removal of load bearing walls and interior partitions to open up the main floor
3. Custom timber wrapped hood fan
4. Timber beams in the two-story dining area
5. Engineered hardwood throughout the main
6. Removal of a three-sided fireplace and installation of a new fireplace with a stone wall
7. Changed layout of mudroom and added tons of cabinetry
8. A new ensuite, with custom shower and freestanding tub
9. Moved laundry from mudroom to second story

The entire kitchen layout was revamped with new cabinets with tons of storage, a new layout with the removal of load-bearing walls and interior partitions, and a custom timber-wrapped hood fan. We also removed the awkward three-sided fireplace and installed a new stone one for a cozy, mountain-cabin feel.

We brightened up the entryway with new tile, fresh paint, and new modern doors. We changed layout of mudroom and added tons of cabinetry, and moved the laundry up to the second level.
