The beginnings of this project started with a farmhouse feel but we wanted to incorporate the luxuries of a modern home. This client had need of additional space upstairs so the plans began to form around closing in a 2-story living room. The challenge there became how do you maintain the light and airy feel of the space when eliminating the tall ceilings? Take a look below and see for yourself. Maintaining light paint choices, consistent flooring and large windows allowed us to achieve the look we wanted.
It was the little things that gave this project the modern farmhouse feel. The classic white subway tile but changing it up with the herringbone detail behind the range. The black hardware throughout with the shaker style doors. We of course love the two-toned cabinets; they definitely make a subtle statement. The farmhouse sink was a spurge but definitely worth it for the look!
